La laguna dei bei sogni, where no one wakes from their dreams, tells the tale of English lieutenant Robin Stuart, a deserter from the First World War, who finds refuge in Venezuela among the tribes of the Orinoco river. Corto Maltese attends to the soldier, who is suffering from hallucinations and delirium. Stuart, however, prefers to surrender to his dreams, dreams that allow him to redeem his cowardliness and let him die in peace.
